FOR ALL OF OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY - OUR ITINERARY

We plan to leave St. Lucia on Thursday, December 4th.

Our sail plan from here is as follows:

  • Martinique - Fort DeFrance - in and out
  • Dominica - Plymouth - 2 or 3 days to catch up with friends there
  • Les Saintes - 2 or 3 days for sightseeing, since we haven't been there before
  • Guadaloupe - Des Shailes - in and out
  • Antigua - Jolly Harbour - We spent the last 2 weeks of December in English Harbour, at Nelsons Dockyard, so we thought we would see what Jolly Harbour is like this time
  • St. Barth - 2 or 3 days of French cuisine
  • Anguilla - Road Bay - 2 days - We are thinking to bypass St. Martin this time. We've been there several times, but have never stopped in Anguilla
  • Virgin Gorda - Spanish Town - in and out after clearing BVI customs and immigration
  • Anegada - Maybe, depending on weather. We would like to visit here, as it is a very popular charter site, and we have not been there yet.

On the way to St. Thomas, we will probably stop at a number of the small harbours and tourist destinations. ie; The Baths, Peter Island, etc. etc.

Depending on weather, we figure we will have about 10 days at sea, so the rest of the time will be taken up with "shore leave", sightseeing, and visiting friends along the way.

We would like to visit our buddies Mike and Beth Smith in St. Kitts, but we've decided to wait until our next southbound trip, probably in June. Going to Barbuda takes us way out east of the course to St. Kitts.

We should end up in St. Thomas sometime the first week of January.

Happy Holidays to All -

Susan and Molly Vist Yvonne in San Luis Obispo

Susan and Molly drove to San Luis Obispo to visit her sisters Yvonne and Dee. Their brother Ray came down from San Francisco, too.

Molly gets to visit Pismo Beach, with Yvonne and her little friend Spicy

A Quick Visit With Andrew

Andrew has this cool playhouse and slide in his backyard. So Grandpa and Andrew had a play date.

"No, Grandpa, you're too big to fit in my playhouse!"

Was that fun, or what?

"See Grandpa, ya start here..."

"Do you hafta go now?"

He has such a sweet and joyful laugh! I treasure these moments.

I don't care what anybody says, he is one great kid! No bull, just the facts!

Kara and Miguel are excellent parents, and Andrew is very lucky to have a wonderful sister like Madison. She is the big sister every boy should have!

Pool Party at Carron's Home

We were staying with Phyllis and Terry Carron, and they were gracious in letting us host a pool party at their home.

Ray's 85th Birthday!

We were all on hand to celebrate Ray's 85th Birthday. Ray is Susan's much-beloved Dad, and one of Walt's favorite people, too. Why else would we travel to Arizona in July, during the hottest year on record?

Jeff (with camera) and Pam, Ray's wife, look on as Ray opens his gifts. Can you tell they are brother and sister?

For Me?

Yvonne, Molly, Susan, Sierra, and Ray - he's the one with the hat!

Ray in his custom-made Panama Hat - a real beauty! He promised not to wear it in the pool.

Another T-Shirt!

Cuban Cigars! My Favorite!

Well, I can't wear it or smoke it, so I guess I have to read it!
